As of the end of July, 676 companies were listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, an increase of four over the previous month. The total capital issued was NT$4,876.3 billion, an increase of NT$95.6 billion over the preceding month, and the market capitalization was NT$11,766.1 billion, a decrease of NT$875 billion as against the preceding month.

     

As of the end of July, 466 companies were listed on the GreTai Securities Market, a decrease of one as against the previous month. The total capital issued was NT$680 billion, a decrease of NT$19 billion as against the preceding month, and the market capitalization was NT$1,210.4 billion, a decrease of NT$165 billion as against the previous month.

 

In July, the trading value of shares on the Taiwan Stock Exchange was NT$1,165.1 billion, a decrease of NT$292 billion as against June, while the trading volume was 48.1 billion shares, a decrease of 10.6 billions shares compared with June.

 

As of the end of July, the accumulated net inward remittance of foreign investors was US$71.3 billion, a decrease of US$507 million as against June. There are currently 149 securities firms, 23 futures commission merchants, 45 securities investment trust enterprises and 215 securities investment consulting enterprises.
