II. Market Wrap-up

As of the end of June, 672 companies were listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, the same as the previous month. The total capital issued was NT$4,780.8 billion, an increase of NT$59.3 billion over the preceding month, and the market capitalization was NT$12,641.1 billion, a decrease of NT$488.1 billion from the month before.

As of the end of June, 467 companies were listed on the GreTai Securities Market, an increase of six over the previous month. The total capital issued was NT$699 billion, an increase of NT$14.8 billion over the preceding month, and the market capitalization was NT$1,375.5 billion, a decrease of NT$86.5 billion from the previous month.

In June, the trading value of shares on the Taiwan Stock Exchange was NT$1,457.1 billion, a decrease of NT$395.6 billion from the May figures, while the trading volume was 58.7 billion shares, a decrease of 14.7 billions shares compared with the same figures of May.

As of the end of June, the accumulated net inward remittance of foreign investors was US$71.8 billion, a decrease of US$743 million from May. There are 150 securities firms, 23 futures commission merchants, 43 securities investment trust enterprises, and 213 securities investment consulting enterprises.
