As of the end of April, 700 companies were listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, same as the previous month. The total capital issued was NT$5,083.4 billion, an increase of NT$11.97 billion over the preceding month, and the market capitalization was NT$13,402.02 billion, a decrease of NT$404.59 billion over the preceding month.

As of the end of April, 483 companies were listed on the GreTai Securities Market, an increase of seven against the previous month. The total capital issued was NT$633.57 billion, a increase of NT$2.02 billion against the preceding month, and the market capitalization was NT$1,161.09 billion, a increase of NT$59.33 billion against the previous month.

In April, the trading value of shares on the Taiwan Stock Exchange was NT$1,192.19 billion, a decrease of NT$485.35 billion over March, while the trading volume was43.36 billion, a decrease of 19.62 billion shares compared with March.

As of the end of April, the accumulated net inward remittance of foreign investors was US$87.65 billion, an increase of US$0.88 billion over March. There are currently 148 securities firms, 23 futures commission merchants45 securities investment trust enterprises and 219 securities investment consulting enterprises
