Due to the US-China trade war, public fundraising in the first half of 2019 decreased, compared to the same period last year.

The public fundraising activities in the first half of 2019 were as follows:
There are 109 domestic and 2 overseas public fundraising cases in the first half of 2019, amounting to 111 cases in total and decreasing from 127 cases in the same period of 2018. The total amount of public fundraising in the first half of 2019 was NT$2,536.46 billion, decreasing by 16.52% from NT$3,038.41 billion in the same period last year. Among them, the domestic fundraising amounted to NT$2,507.66 billion (accounting for around 98.87% of total public fundraising) and the overseas fundraising amounted to NT$28.80 billion (accounting for around 1.13% of total public fundraising), respectively, which indicates that the public companies still relies on domestic fundraising.
The total amount of private placements was NT$188.65 billion (accounting for around 6.92% of the total amount of public and private placements), decreasing by 56.12% from NT$429.97 billion in the same period last year.
The reason for the decline in public fundraising was due to the US-China trade war and there are more large-scale fundraising cases in the first half of 2018.
