1. Outward Investment and profit in Mainland China：(Amount in NTD)
(1) By 31st March 2022, there were 1,198 listed companies (679 TWSE- and 519 TPEx- listed companies) with investment in Mainland China, which accounted for 72.47% of the total 1,653 listed companies. The number has decreased by 10 compared to the end of 2021.
(2) By 31st March 2022, the accumulated outflow of investments of TWSE-listed and TPEx-listed Companies were respectively 2.3378 trillion and 246.6 billion, totaling 2.5844 trillion, an increase of 55.6 billion from the end of 2021.
(3) Profit on investments of TWSE-listed companies in Q1 2022 was 88.4 billion, and that of TPEx-listed Companies was 5.4 billion, totaling 93.8 billion. The total amount ranks second highest over the decade though with a YOY decrease of 13.7 billion. Compared with Q1 2021, the amounts of profit on investments of TWSE-listed Companies decreased 13.7 billion, while the amounts of TPEx-listed Companies remains the same.
(4) For the first quarter of 2022, the total inflow of profit on investments was 8.3 billion. By 31st March 2022, the inflow accumulated amount of profit on investments of TWSE-listed companies was 545.1 billion, and TPEx-listed Companies was 52.8 billion, which totalled 597.9 billion and accounted for 23.13% of the accumulated outflow of Investments of 2.5844 trillion.
2. Outward foreign Investment and profit (Excluding Mainland China): (Amount in NTD)
(1) By 31st March 2022, there were 1,282 listed companies (722 TWSE- and 560 TPEx- listed companies) with investment abroad, which accounted for 77.56% of the total 1,653 listed companies. The number has increased by 1 compared to the end of 2021.
(2) By 31st March 2022, the accumulated outflow of investments of TWSE-listed and TPEx-listed Companies were respectively 6.651 trillion and 672.4 billion, totaling 7.3234 trillion, an increase of 170.8 billion from the end of 2021.
(3) Profit on investments of TWSE-listed companies in Q1 2022 was 290.2 billion, and that of TPEx-listed Companies was 5.7 billion, totaling 295.9 billion. The total amount ranks highest over the decade with a YOY increase of 27.1 billion.
