1.    Date of sanction: April 18, 2024
2.    Object of sanction: Hua Nan Futures Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Hua Nan Futures).
3.    Legal basis for the sanction: Paragraph 2, Article 2 and Article 12 of the Regulations Governing Futures Commission Merchants.
4.    Facts of violation: Hua Nan Futures failed to send statements and trading reports and keep a complete record of returned mail in accordance with its internal control system. Additionally, the firm’s former associated person engaged in business solicitation before being registered as a qualified associated person by the Futures Association. These are verified to have violated futures management laws and regulations.
5.    Sanctions imposed: A fine of NT$240,000 is imposed on Hua Nan Futures in accordance with subparagraph 2, paragraph 1, Article 119 of the Futures Trading Act.
