The FSC announced corresponding measures for public companies on financial reporting in response to COVID-19

2021-07-15
In response to Covid-19 epidemic, which may affect public companies’ publication and filing of financial reports for the 2nd quarter of 2021, public companies should pay attention to the deadlines for publication of financial reports and follow the information disclosure regulations.

The FSC announced that, if public companies are unable to file the 2nd quarter financial reports of 2021 on time, they may apply for extension under the condition that decision is approved by the board with documents such as intended extension period, proposed time frame plan (with CPA’s opinion on its appropriateness), and the unaudited/unreviewed financial statements for the 2nd quarter of 2021. The applicants are required to apply for extension to the FSC by 12nd August, 2021. (Primary exchange (or OTC) listed company shall apply for extension by 27th August, 2021.)

The FSC reminded that, those who apply for extension shall publish relevant material in the Market Observation Post System in accordance with the Securities Exchange Law and the regulations of the TWSE and TPEx.
