(1)    As of 2023, 1,209 listed companies (690 TWSE- and 519 TPEx-listed companies) had investments in China accounting for 70.54% of total 1,714 listed companies, a decrease of 1 company relative to the end of 2022.
(2)    As of 2023, the accumulated outflow of investments in China of TWSE-listed and TPEx-listed companies were 2,483 billion and 253 billion respectively with a total of 2,736 billion, an increase of 32 billion from the end of 2022.
(3)    In 2023, the profits from investments in China of TWSE-listed and TPEx-listed companies were 425 billion and 24 billion respectively with a total of 449 billion. The total profits ranked third highest in record despite a YOY decrease of 5 billion.
(4)    In 2023, the inflow of profits from investments in China of listed companies were 150 billion. As of 2023, the accumulated inflow of profits from investments in China of TWSE-listed and TPEx-listed companies were 777 billion and 77 billion respectively. The total amount was 854 billion accounting for 31.23% of the accumulated outflow of Investments in China of 2,736 billion.
2.    Outward Investments and profits excluding China: (amount in NTD)
(1)    As of 2023, 1,302 listed companies (735 TWSE- and 567 TPEx-listed companies) had investments overseas excluding China accounting for 75.9% of total 1,714 listed companies, an increase of 13 companies relative to the end of 2022.
(2)    As of 2023, the accumulated outflow of investments of TWSE-listed and TPEx-listed companies were 7,904 billion and 716 billion respectively, totaling 8,620 billion, an increase of 769 billion from the end of 2022.
(3)    In 2023, the profits from investments of TWSE-listed and TPEx-listed companies were 626 billion and 46 billion respectively with a total of 672 billion. The total profits ranked third highest in record despite a YOY decrease of 459 billion.
